As well as outdoor meetings in the summer months, over the winter Rock Solid meet for coaching sessions on a regular basis, both in large and small groups. Our coaching sessions are run by local climbers Andrew Earl and Chris Graham, who have both competed at international level and are very active in the local climbing scene. In addition, guest coaches have included Gareth Parry (current British leading and bouldering champion) and Audrey Seguy (former British champion).

Andrew Earl Andrew was British Bouldering Champion in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and has competed for Great Britain for several years, including a World Cup win in La Reunion in 2007. Outside Andrew has put up new routes up to E9 grade and bouldered font 8b+. A qualified sport scientist, Andrew is the current coach for the British Bouldering Team. Read more on Andrew's Website.

Chris Graham A former British Bouldering Team and Newcastle University Elite Athlete Squad member, Chris has competed at national and international level for several years, most notably finishing a podium 3rd place at the British Bouldering Championships in Edinburgh in 2003. Outside Chris has climbed up to E8 and put up first ascents of problems up to font 8a+. Read more on Chris' Website.
